MICHAEL GRIMES joined Stewart & Stevenson Services, Inc. as President
and CEO in April 1999. He was previously with Cooper Cameron Corporation
where he served as President, Cooper Energy Services Division and
President of Cooper Cameron Power Generation. Prior to joining Cooper
Cameron, Mr. Grimes held numerous positions in sales, marketing, service
quality, information management and general management during a 23-year
career with General Electric Company. His last assignments with GE were:
General Manager, Six Sigma Quality and Information Management, GEE Power
Systems; General Manager, Apparatus Services Department, GE Power
Generation; General Manager, Marketing, GE Power Generation; and Product
General Manager, Aeroderivatives. Mr. Grimes holds a Bachelor's Degree
in Mechanical Engineering from Tennessee Technology University, and is a
graduate of GE's Technical Marketing Program and numerous management
courses at GE's Executive Development Center in Crotonville, New York.
He is also a graduate of Southern Company's Student of the Business
Course. Mr. Grimes and his family lives in Houston, Texas. Profile
