Michael E. Korybalski – Mechanical Dynamics Inc

MICHAEL E. KORYBALSKI co-founded Mechanical Dynamics, Inc., as Vice President and General Manager in 1977, and became President and Chief Executive Officer in 1984. In February 1997, Mr. Korybalski assumed the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer. Prior to his experience at Mechanical Dynamics, he was employed as a Product Engineer with Ford Motor Company (1973-1977). He graduated from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, in 1969 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. In 1972, he earned a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering and in 1980 an MBA, both from the University of Michigan. Mr. Korybalski actively participates in business-oriented professional organizations in southeastern Michigan. He is a member of the Board of the Small Business Association of Michigan; serves on the Advisory Board of the Michigan Information Technology Roundtable, an agency within the Michigan Economic Development Corporation; chairs the External Advisory Board of the Mechanical Engineering Department of the University of Michigan; is a member of the board of directors of M-TECH at Charles Stuart Mott Community College in Flint, Mich.; and is a panelist for the PricewaterhouseCoopers Trendsetter Barometer, a group of 200 business leaders who are polled quarterly concerning their views regarding economic trends in the US. He also serves as a frequent speaker at the University of Michigan Business School, Engineering School, and various professional organizations. In January 1994, Mr. Korybalski received the Entrepreneur of the Year Award from New Enterprise Forum, a Michigan- based organization dedicated to encouraging the spirit and success of entrepreneurs.
