MAX KONIGSBERG is Founder, Chairman of the Board, President and CEO of
Shirmax Fashions Ltd. Mr. Konigsberg opened his first store in 1957 and,
from that one store, built a national chain that has become Canada's
leading women's fashion specialty boutique retailer in the two distinct
niches of plus-size and maternity. In 1997, he won the Entrepreneur of
the Year award for Quebec in the retail and wholesale sectors. Mr.
Konigsberg has pursued studies in Business Management and the Physiology
of Human Behavior, four years in the Chartered Accounting program at
McGill University, is a graduate of the Presidents Course and Leadership
Laboratories of the American Management Association, a graduate of the
Harvard Business School (Owners and Presidents Management Course), and
