MARK A. PHILIP is President and Chief Executive Officer of ZYCOS Inc., a
privately held biotechnology company focused on converting genetic
information into drugs faster. Dr. Philip has a remarkable record of
building value in pharmaceutical and biological companies, and is
focusing ZYCOS' R&D program to bring new therapeutics to the market
quickly. Dr. Philip brings 18 years of experience in executive
management to ZYCOS; as President and Chief Executive Officer of Immuno-
U.S., Inc., and Community Bio-Resources, he turned around the
profitability of the company and grew the business to over $120 million
in revenues. Prior to this he was General Manager of the Renal Division
of Baxter in Japan, and held senior posts at Baxter International in the
USA and Europe. Dr. Philip has a BSc in Biochemistry, a PhD in
Hematology from the Nottingham City University in England, and an MBA
from the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management. Dr. Philip currently
