Mark Moran – Biomedicines Inc

MARK MORAN, MD, MBA is the CEO and founder of BioMedicines, Inc. Dr. Moran earned undergraduate degrees in both Mathematics and Physics from the University of Oklahoma. After four years of service as an Engineering Officer in the U.S. Navy aboard a nuclear-powered submarine, Dr. Moran attended the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis where he earned his medical degree. Dr. Moran also holds an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. Dr. Moran was a member of the faculty in the Department of Medicine of the Stanford University School of Medicine, first as Assistant Professor and subsequently as Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine. Dr. Moran joined Searle in Skokie, Illinois, as an Associate Director, Director and then Senior Director of Clinical Research. Dr. Moran then served as Vice President of Medical Affairs and Vice President of Operations at Glycomed Incorporated (a glycotechnology company purchased in 1995 by Ligand Pharmaceuticals, Inc.). Dr. Moran was next appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Ansan Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (purchased in 1997 by Discovery Laboratories, Inc.). Dr. Moran is also the Inventor of intellectual property for which new patent applications in Chemotherapy, Chemoprevention, and Radiation Oncology are now assigned to BioMedicines. Profile
