Mark Dobbin – Vector Aerospace Corporation (rno:tse)

MARK D. DOBBIN became Chairman and CEO of Vector Aerospace Corporation in June 1998 upon the successful completion of its initial public offering on the Toronto Stock Exchange. Prior to this he was Senior Vice President and a member of the Board of Directors of CHC Helicopter Corporation. Beginning in 1984 Mr. Dobbin held increasingly responsible positions with CHC and its predecessor corporation, Sealand Helicopters. He has also held positions with Petroleum Helicopters, Lafayette, Louisiana; and with Aerospatiale, Marignane, France. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Memorial University and a Master's in Business Administration from Dalhousie University. Mr. Dobbin is a director of Stratos Global Corporation, Newfoundland, and Labrador Hydro, Aerospace Industries Association of Canada (AIAC) and CHC Helicopter Corporation. He is a member of the Board of Governors for Junior Achievement as well as a member of the Business Associates Program and Advisory Board for the Faculty of Business Administration at Memorial University of Newfoundland. Through Vector, Mr. Dobbin has championed numerous worthwhile causes, in particular the St. John's School Lunch Program and the Community Food Sharing Association. Mr. Dobbin was honored in 2000 as one of Canada's Top 40 Under 40 award winners, in 2001 he was ranked as one of Atlantic Canada's Top 50 CEOs in the business community and was also named Memorial University's Alumnus of the Year for 2000.
