Malcolm Miller – Pace Micro Technology Plc (pic.l)

MALCOLM MILLER is the CEO of Pace Micro Technology. Since taking on this role, Malcolm has led the company's restructure and rapid development in the digital televison revolution which now includes world wide contracts for DTH satellite, DTT terrestrial, Cable and MMDS set- top box receivers. Customers include BellSouth in the U.S., Cable & Wireless Communications, Canal+, News Corporation, NTl, ONdigital and Telewest. Malcolm joined Pace from Sega Europe Ltd. where he was European Chief Executive Officer. He joined Sega in 1994 and instigated the successful integration and profit turnaround of Sega's Consumer Division. His career started in 1976. Graduating in Business he wanted experience in fast moving consumer goods (fmcg) and turned to frozen foods leader, Birds Eye, a subsidiary of Unilever. Between 1978 and 1994 Malcolm applied fmcg principles to consumer electronics for Armstrad plc where he became Sales and Marketing Director in 1989. In this role he specialised in mass consumer advertising, managing a large salesforce and developing contacts with all the major European electronic retailers. In 1992 Malcolm became Managing Director and was instrumental in the acquisition of two companies, Viglen, a company selling PC's direct to business and home; and Dancall a designer and manufacturer of GSM cellular phones.
