LUC DESJARDINS – TRANSCONTINENTAL INC (TCLa:TSX)

LUC DESJARDINS was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Transcontinental Inc. on March 24, 2004. He joined Transcontinental in May 2000 as President and Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Desjardins has a long track record as a top executive in Canada and the United States. Prior to joining Transcontinental, he was President and CEO of a major US division of Mail-Well, a leading commercial printer in North America, where he was responsible for some 50 plants with annual revenues of US$1 billion and close to 7,000 employees. From 1992 to 1998, Mr. Desjardins was President and Chief Executive Officer of Supremex, a Canadian printer acquired by Mail-Well in 1995. Mr. Desjardins obtained his Master's in Business Administration from the Universit du Qubec Montral in 1993.
