LEWIS F. MALLORY, JR. is Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive
Officer of NBC Capital Corporation and National Bank of Commerce (wholly
owned subsidiary); September 1993. He is a member of the Board of
Directors and Executive Committee of the Board, NBC Capital Corporation
and National Bank of Commerce. Prior to joining NBC he joined Peoples
Bank, Starkville, Mississippi in June 1965 in the Officer Training
Program. Mr. Mallory advanced through various offices to the position of
President of National Bank of Commerce, Starkville, Mississippi in March
1974 (successor to Peoples Bank). He was elected President and Chief
Executive Officer in December 1978. Mr. Mallory attended Mississippi
State University, 1965, Banking and Finance; Minor in Economics,
Graduate School of Banking of the South, Louisiana State University,
