LAWRENCE J. MATTESON joined the SpatiaLight, Inc., team in 1991, serving
as a member of the Board of Directors. In 1995, Mr. Matteson was elected
Chairman of the Board, and was re-elected in April 2001. As Chairman,
Mr. Matteson serves as both company spokesperson and strategic voice for
the Board's financial and operational decisions. In addition, Mr.
Matteson currently serves on the faculty of the William E. Simon
Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of
Rochester in New York. As an Executive Professor of Business Policy, he
teaches courses on business policy, economics, corporate strategy,
operating strategy, marketing and management. Prior to joining the
University of Rochester, Mr. Matteson held various senior management
positions over the span of his 26 years with the Eastman Kodak Company.
Positions included Senior Vice President and General Manager of the
imaging information systems group from 1991 to 1992, Group Vice
President of Imaging and Information Systems from 1989 to 1990, Group
Vice President of Commercial Information Systems from 1985 to 1989, and
Vice President of the Kodak Apparatus Division from 1983 to 1985. Mr.
Matteson holds several academic degrees, including a Bachelor of Science
in Electrical Engineering from Union College and a Master of Science in
Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He also
holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of
Rochester, where he was awarded the Hugh Whitney Award for outstanding
