Ken Lewis – Chiaro Networks Ltd

KEN LEWIS is President and Chief Executive Officer of Chiaro Networks Ltd. Mr. Lewis brings over 25 years of telecommunication technical and management experience to Chiaro. He and his management team have assembled a world-class group that has built Enstara_, the first high performance and ultra-reliable, high-end routing platform. In addition to cementing the company's vision and staff, Mr. Lewis has been instrumental in Chiaro's funding efforts, which have resulted in $210 million to date. Even in the midst of the market downturn, he secured the continued support of the venture capital community by locking in an $80 million funding round. Previously, Mr. Lewis headed a team at Alcatel of more than 1,500 members and was responsible for annual sales exceeding $1.2 billion. He is now leveraging his strategic and product planning expertise to secure Chiaro's position in the marketplace. Mr. Lewis served in many capacities at Alcatel USA over a 20 year period, including Senior Vice President of Strategic Planning and Senior Vice President of the Transmission Products division. In the latter role, Mr. Lewis was responsible for the complete transmission product line of the merged Alcatel Network Systems and DSC businesses. Mr. Lewis also held management positions in product planning, product line management, and strategic planning at Alcatel. He also founded and served as President of LighTech, which provided technical seminars and consulting services to Fortune 500 companies such as Regional Bell Operating Companies, MCI, Sprint and IBM. Mr. Lewis holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alabama and an MBA from the University of Texas at Dallas.
