JOSHUA D. SCHEIN, Ph.D. is a founder of SIGA and has served as its Chief
Executive Officer since April 1998. Previously, Dr. Schein served as
Vice President Investment Banking at Josephthal Lyon & Ross, an
investment banking and brokerage firm. Dr. Schein is also a founder of
Virologix Corporation and Callisto Pharmaceuticals, two private
biotechnology companies, and is a founder of DepoMed, Inc., a public
drug delivery company. Dr. Schein received a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from
the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and an M.B.A. from the Columbia
