JOHN MITCHAM is President and Chief Executive Officer of Tricord
Systems, Inc., and serves on the corporation's board of directors. Prior
to leading Tricord, Mr. Mitcham was President and a member of the board
of directors of AT&T Paradyne Corporation, where he was responsible for
management of worldwide product development, manufacturing, and sales
support of the company's data communications products and services. Mr.
Mitcham led Paradyne at the time it was acquired by AT&T, and also
served as an AT&T vice president during this tenure. Throughout his
career, he has gained extensive experience in technology product
segments including mainframes, minicomputers, data communications and
PBX systems. He has more that 20 years' experience in senior management
positions with major national equipment manufacturing companies,
including IBM, ROLM Corporation, Memorex and Texas Instruments. A native
of Texas, Mr. Mitcham holds a Bachelor's degree in Business
Administration from the University of Houston. Profile
