John L. Shannon Jr. – Everest Medical Corporation (evmd)

JOHN L. SHANNON, JR. was elected President and Chief Executive Officer of Everest Medical Corporation in August, 1994 and assumed the additional position of Chairman of the Board in May, 1997. Prior to Everest Medical, Mr. Shannon was President and Chief Executive Officer of EdenTec Corporation, a venture capital-backed medical device company from 1989-1993, which was acquired by Nellcor Incorporated in 1991. He was President of Threshold Ventures, Inc., a Minneapolis-based venture capital company, from 1985-1989 (EdenTec was a portfolio company of Threshold Ventures). Mr. Shannon has held key marketing positions in both the medical and consumer durable industries. In addition, he has experience in finance, strategic planning and new business development at a Fortune 1000 company. Mr. Shannon received a Master of Business Administration Degree with a concentration in Finance from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota in 1979. Profile
