JOHN V. HASHMAN has served as Chief Financial Officer of NextCard, Inc.
since September 1997 and in March 2000 was promoted to President and
Chief Financial Officer. In his current role, Mr. Hashman has assumed
responsibility for legal, human resources, administration and project
integration, as well as continued stewardship over the financial
function for the company. In addition, he will chair a newly created
Operating Committee consisting of NextCard's senior management team.
Prior to joining NextCard in 1997, Mr. Hashman spent more than 11 years
at Providian Financial as Vice President in various marketing,
operations and finance positions. During that time he also served as
Vice President and Treasurer, developing the bank's institutional
funding relationships. Prior to his career at Providian, Mr. Hashman was
an Accountant for BankAmerica Corporation and Pacific Bell. He earned
his MBA with a focus on Finance from USF and a BS in Accounting from
Southeast Missouri University. Profile
