John J. Dolan is the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial
Officer of First Commonwealth Financial Corporation, a $4.5
billion bank holding company headquartered in Indiana, PA. He is
responsible for all accounting, financial and regulatory
reporting, as well as budgeting, cost control, taxation
management, investor relations and mergers and acquisitions
implementation. He also holds multiple positions with First
Commonwealth subsidiaries, including: VP and CFO of Strategic
Capital Concepts, Inc. and Strategic Financial Advisors, Inc.;
Treasurer of First Commonwealth Insurance Agency; CFO of First
Commonwealth Bank; Comptroller and CFO of First Commonwealth
Professional Resources, Inc.; Treasurer and Assistant Secretary
of First Commonwealth Trust Company; and Comptroller and CFO of
Commonwealth Trust Credit Life Insurance Company, a jointly owned
subsidiary. Mr. Dolan has been with the corporation 22 years
starting as a staff accountant in 1980. Prior to First
Commonwealth, he was a staff accountant for Barnes, Saly & Co.,
Certified Public Accountants. He received his BS in Business
Administration with specialization in Accounting from West
Liberty State College (WV) in 1978 and is the author of the
Commercial Banking chapter of Encyclopedia of Accounting Systems
published by Prentice Hall. He is a board member of the
Pennsylvania Board of Accountancy, former member of the
Accounting Committee of the ABA and the former Chairman of the
Financial Accounting Standards Committee of the PBA. Profile
