James Stuart – Packaged Ice Inc (icy)

JAMES F. STUART, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Chief Executive Officer and a Founder of Packaged Ice, Inc., served as President of the company from 1990 until January 1997, when he was elected Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Stuart developed and introduced the Ice Factory in 1992 to an industry that had not undergone any technological developments since packaged ice began replacing block ice over 40 years ago. The Ice Factory is a self- contained, automated system that manufactures, packages, stores, and merchandizes ice at the point of sale; typically a supermarket location. Understanding the dramatic impact this 'disruptive technology' could have on the packaged ice industry, Mr. Stuart founded Packaged Ice to exploit the new technology. Mr. Stuart holds an MBA in Finance and a BBA in Marketing. He has had over 30 years of progressive responsibility in financial and operations management. He is also a Certified Public Accountant and has extensive experience in all phases of corporate accounting and reporting systems. Profile
