JAMES S. BRANNEN was one of the founders of Security Associates
International, Inc. in 1990 and has been its president ever since. Prior
to founding Security Associates, he spent 25 years with The First
National Bank of Chicago, where he was Senior Vice President responsible
for many of the bank's key domestic and international lending
activities, including its lending to the communications industry. He has
an A.B. degree from Dartmouth College and an M.B.A. from Northwestern
