J.BRIAN KYNOCH – IMPERIAL METALS CORPORATION (III:TSX)

J. BRIAN KYNOCH is President and Director of Imperial Metals Corporation. He has been actively involved in the mining industry for over 20 years. Mr. Kynoch is a Civil Engineer whose business experience includes corporate mergers, acquisitions and re-organization as well as the commissioning and development of mines. He has worked closely with international partners and business associates. His key achievements are: the re-opening of Goldstream Mine near Revelstoke, British Columbia, which remained operational until 1996 when the ore body was depleted. While President of Bethlehem Resources Corporation, the company merged with Imperial Metals Corporation and Mr. Kynoch was appointed Senior Vice President, COO. He was actively involved in the development of Mount Polley mine, located near Williams Lake, which was constructed under budget and ahead of schedule, with operations commencing in spring 1997. Operations were suspended at Mount Polley in fall 2001 due to continued depressed metal prices. Imperial is planning to recommence operations at Mount Polley due to increased prices and a discovery of a new high-grade reserve on the Mount Polley property. He is also coordinating a study to improve the economics of the mine by conducting research on how to increase recovery of copper from copper oxide materials. Mr. Kynoch was appointed President of Imperial Metals Corporation in January 2003 and serves as Director of Cross Lake Minerals and Huckleberry Mines Ltd. He is a member of the Professional Engineers Association and the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum. Profile
