HENRY F. BLISSENBACH has been Chairman, President, and Chief Executive
Officer of Chronimed Inc., a disease-focused drug distribution company
serving the prescription drug needs of people with long-term chronic
conditions, since July 2000. Previously, since April, 1997, he was
President and Chief Operating Officer, and has served on Chronimed's
Board of Directors since 1995. Prior to coming to Chronimed, he was
President of Diversified Pharmaceutical Services. Diversified, one of
the nation's largest pharmacy benefit management companies, was
originally owned by United HealthCare Corporation before being sold to
SmithKline Beecham Pharmaceuticals in 1994. Dr. Blissenbach remained
with SmithKline Beecham until 1997. Dr. Blissenbach is a graduate of the
University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy, where he received both his
Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy and Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
degree. He is a member of the American Society of Hospital Pharmacists,
American Pharmacy Association, the American College of Clinical
Pharmacy, as well as various other pharmaceutical organizations. Dr.
Blissenbach is one of the founding fathers of the Academy of Managed
Care Pharmacy. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board for
Chronimed Inc., and serves as a Director on the Boards of Ligand
Pharmaceuticals, and Opportunity Partners Inc. Profile
