Harvey J. Padewer – Duke Energy

HARVEY J. PADEWER is Group President, Energy Services. Duke Energy Services businesses include Duke Energy Trading and Marketing, Duke Engineering & Services, Duke/Fluor Daniel, DukeSolutions and the Global Asset Development businesses of Duke Energy North America and Duke Energy International. Mr. Padewer is a member of Duke Energy Policy Committee and is based in Houston. Since 1995, Mr. Padewer was Senior Vice President and General Manager of Utilicorp Energy Group, where he served as President, Aquila Energy (gas and power marketing and risk management); President, Utilco Group (regulated power generation and IPP portfolio); and Vice Chairman of the Board, Aquila Pipeline Corporation (gas gathering, processing and marketing). He was also responsible for the regulated generation of Missouri Public Service and West Plains Energy, as well as the regulated gas supply operation. From 1989 through 1995, he served in executive positions at ABB Power Generation, Inc., first as Vice President of sales and marketing and later as president, Turbine Power Division. From 1988-89, he was Vice President, project development of Coastal Power Corporation and from 1986-88, he was director of business development for Ultrasystems Development Corporation (now LG&E Power, Inc.). Mr. Padewer spent the first 15 years of his career, from 1971 through 1986 at General Electric, engaged in engineering, project management and development work in the U.S. and internationally. Mr. Padewer received his Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from New York Institute of Technology and his Master's degree in Business Administration from Long Island University. Profile
