Haim Shani- Unitronics Industrial Automations Systems (unit.bru)

HAIM SHANI became President and Chief Executive Officer of NICE Systems Ltd. on January 1, 2001. Mr. Shani came to NICE from Applied Materials, Inc., where he served as Israels most senior local executive, heading up the Process Diagnostic and Control (PDC) business group formed following the acquisition of Israeli companies Opal, Inc. and Orbot Instruments, Ltd. Before joining Applied Materials, Mr. Shani held senior management positions at Orbotech, Ltd. From 1995-1998, he served as Corporate Vice President of Marketing and Business Development, responsible for leading a three-year strategic plan including joint ventures, acquisitions and strategic alliances. From 1993-1995, he was President of Orbotechs subsidiary in Asia Pacific, based out of Hong Kong, where he was responsible for tripling the business and establishing operations across the region. From 1992-1993, he served as President of Optrotech Europe, based out of Brussels, where he co-managed the merger between Optrotech and Orbot Europe. Previously, between 1982-1992, Mr. Shani served in management positions at Scitex Corporation Ltd. and IBM Israel. Mr. Shani holds a Masters degree in Business Administration from INSEAD, France, and a Bachelors of Science degree in Industrial and Management Engineering from The Technion - Israel Institute of Technology.
