Gordon Crawford – London Bridge Software Holdings Plc (lnb.l)

GORDON CRAWFORD is Chairman and Managing Director of London Bridge Software Holdings Plc. He has been involved in the computer software industry for over 20 years. After graduation from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, he spent a number of years in software development before joining a large US computer manufacturer in June 1982 where he was involved in the management of sales and marketing of the company's hardware and software products to the insurance sector. He left in February 1987, when he started London Bridge Software provider of financial market based software and consultancy services. The company was listed on the London Stock Exchange in March 1997 and entered the mid-cap index in September 1998. Gordon Crawford is still Chairman and Managing Director of the Group, which has offices in Atlanta, San Francisco, Charlotte, Orlando, London and Singapore. Since its initial public offering on the London Stock Exchange, the company quickly entered the mid-cap index and is now one of the top then UK software companies by market capitalisation. The company has experienced 100% compound revenue growth over the last five years, whilst maintaining profit before tax margins of approximately 30%.
