GLENN CHERRY – TAMA BROADCASTING INC

GLENN W. CHERRY is the President/CEO of Tama Broadcasting, Inc., and also serves on its Board of Directors. Dr. Cherry has been involved with advertising media sales since 1978, when he sold advertising for his family's African-American owned newspapers. Dr. Cherry has served as the GM of 1150 WTMP- AM since 1997 when he relocated to Tampa to assume a more hands-on management role in the station on behalf of his partnership. Dr. Cherry is the GM of newly acquired stations WTMP 96.1- FM Tampa, WHJX 105.7-FM, WSJF 105.5 FM, WJSJ 105.3 FM and WOKF 92.5-FM in Jacksonville, Florida. He serves as the Managing Partner of a partnership external to Tama that owns and operates WCSZ-AM, a sports- oriented AM station in Greenville, South Carolina. Dr. Cherry is also a principal shareholder in a corporation that owns WPUL-AM in Daytona Beach, Florida, a gospel-formatted AM station co-located with the family-owned African-American newspapers, The Daytona Times and The Florida Courier. Dr. Cherry served on active duty as a commissioned officer in the United States Air Force at the rank of Captain from 1984-1988. In November 1991, Dr. Cherry received an honorable discharge from the United States Air Force Reserve. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Morehouse College in 1980 and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Tuskegee University in 1984. Dr. Cherry served as a political appointee in the Clinton Administration at the United States Department of Agriculture and worked a six-month assignment in the White House Office of Presidential Personnel as an Executive Search Manager.
