Gerald G. Garbacz – Nashua Corporation (nsh)

GERALD G. GARBACZ is Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Nashua Corporation, a manufacturer of office products including thermal papers, pressure-sensitive labels and specialty papers, and copier and laser printer supplies. Prior to joining Nashua in 1996, Mr. Garbacz was with W.R. Grace & Co. for eighteen years, where he worked in various executive positions including President of their Baker & Taylor Division, Senior Vice President, Executive Vice President and Group Executive ' Grace Specialty Business, a $2 billion group of industrial niche businesses. In 1992, Baker & Taylor was sold as a leverage buyout to a group of investors including Mr. Garbacz and he became Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Baker & Taylor is a $900 million distributor of information products including books, video cassettes and software. Mr. Garbacz's prior business experience includes Phillips Industries, Boise Cascade and Cummins Engine Company. Mr. Garbacz was selected as a White House Fellow in 1968 where he worked for one year as the Special Assistant to the Secretary of Defense. Mr. Garbacz graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 1959, served with U.S. Marine Corps for four years on active duty and nineteen as a reserve officer, and earned his M.B.A. with Highest Distinction from the Amos Tuck School of Business Administration at Dartmouth College in 1965. He is a Director of the Business and Industry Association of New Hampshire, is a past president and a member of the Board of the White House Fellows Foundation, and is a Trustee of Gettysburg College and Southern New Hampshire Medical Center.
