George Mackenzie Jr. – Hercules Incorporated

GEORGE MACKENZIE, JR. is Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Hercules Incorporated and an advisory member of the Board of Directors as well as a member of the Hercules Management Committee. A native of Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania, Mr. MacKenzie received a B.S. degree from the University of Delaware in 1971 and an M.B.A. degree from the University of Chicago in 1973. He was employed as a General Practice Audit Manager in the Philadelphia office of Coopers & Lybrand before joining Hercules in 1979 as an Assistant Manager of Corporate Accounting. He was appointed Manager, Corporate Reporting in 1980 and Controller in 1983. In 1988, he was named Vice President and Controller and in 1991 became Vice President and Treasurer. In 1995, he was named Vice President, Finance, and later that year he was named Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. He assumed his current position in 1996. Mr. MacKenzie is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Medical Center of Delaware and the Accounting Advisory Board at the University of Delaware as well as Manufacturers' Alliance. He is a member of both, the American and the Pennsylvania Institutes of Certified Public Accountants, as well as the Institute of Management Accountants and the Financial Executives Institute, where he recently served as President of the Delaware Chapter.
