ROBERT BRILL is a founding Managing Partner of Newlight Associates and
was previously a General Partner of PolyVentures, venture capital funds
whose principal investment focus was on early stage investments in
technology companies. Before joining PolyVentures, Mr. Brill was a
successful 'turnaround' CEO at two technology companies, Algorex
Corporation and Sipex Corporation. Previously, Mr. Brill served as
General Manager of Harris Corporation's CMOS Semiconductor Division,
where he was responsible for launching the world's first two commercial
16-bit CMOS microprocessors. From 1972 to 1980 he was employed by the
IBM Corporation, where he held various positions in engineering and
management. Mr. Brill was a founding member of the Technical Advisory
Board of the Semiconductor Research Corporation. Mr. Brill holds a PhD
in Physics from Brown University and a BA and a BS in Engineering
Physics from Lehigh University, both with honors. Mr. Brill holds

Mr. Brill: Newlight manages two venture funds with over $120 million. We
invest only in high-technology
