Earle Martin – Pra International

EARLE MARTIN, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of PRA International, joined the company in June 1993 as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, assumed worldwide operations responsibility as Chief Operating Officer in August 1995, became President in October 1995, was named Chief Executive Officer in August 1996, and was elected Chairman of the Board of Directors in October 1996. From 1988 to 1993, Mr. Martin was Director of Marketing and Business development for GE Consulting, a subsidiary of the General Electric Company that provided information technology consulting and software development services. From 1982 to 1988 Mr. Martin was Director of Marketing at two software products companies and worked as an independent management consultant. Between 1979 and 1982, he was a Technical Specialist and Marketing Manager for Automatic Data Processing's Network Services Division, and from 1977 to 1979 he was manager of Research Computing at the Hartford Insurance Group. Mr. Martin began his career as a Research Assistant at the University of Virginia School of Medicine, where he developed software and provided statistical support for clinical drug trials and other medical research. Mr. Martin has a BA in Biology from the University of Virginia (1975). In addition to his role in PRA, he serves as Chairman of Asbury Services, a not-for-profit operator of continuing care retirement communities, nursing homes and assisted living. Profile
