DONALD MACLEOD is the Executive Vice President, Finance, and Chief
Financial Officer of National Semiconductor Corporation. Prior to his
present position, Macleod was vice president, financial projects. From
1981 through 1990, he held senior management positions in finance,
operations and marketing in England, Scotland, Germany, and the United
States. Macleod joined National in 1978. A Native of Scotland, Macleod
holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from the University of
