ON V. HAHNFELDT became Chairman of the Board of Directors and Executive Vice President of Eurotech, Ltd. in March 2002. As Chairman, Mr. Hahnfeldt is responsible for building strong relationships between Eurotechs Board of Directors and the companys management team. He also works with external business groups, various Eurotech affiliates, and Eurotechs partners in identifying long-term strategic opportunities for the Company. As the Executive Vice President, Mr. Hahnfeldt is responsible for providing oversight and guidance to the Eurotech management team in conducting the companys ongoing business activities. Mr. Hahnfeldt served as Eurotechs Chief Executive Officer from July 1999 to March 2002. He has been a member of the companys Board of Directors since January 2000. Mr. Hahnfeldt brings a broad range of expertise in nuclear energy technology, strategic planning, financial management and a thirty-year background in public and government service. Joining the company directly from municipal management and development in the State of Washington, he uses his technological and strategic management experience to assist in the development the companys technologies, as well as motivate the Eurotech team to performance excellence in their ongoing conduct of the Companys business. Mr. Hahnfeldts government service centers on a long career with the United States Nuclear Submarine Force, as executive leader of the Nuclear Navy, including the command of two nuclear submarines that were distinguished as best in the force. He managed assets in excess of $17 billion and more than 4000 personnel as Commodore of the United States Pacific Trident submarines and nuclear facilities. There he led his squadron to its best performance in the history of strategic submarine operations. Among Mr. Hahnfeldts many commendations are four Legions of Merit. Mr. Hahnfeldt, the Chairman and President of Eurotech Ltd., joined Eurotech in 1999 as its President and became responsible for operations and company development. In March 2002, he assumed the role as Chairman and President responsible for building strong relationships between Eurotechs Board of Directors and the companys management team, and continued growth of the company. Mr. Hahnfeldt has expertise in nuclear energy technology, strategic planning, financial management and a thirty-year background in public and government service. His government service in the United States Navy Submarine Force included command of two nuclear submarines and the Pacific Fleet Trident submarines. Mr. Hahnfeldts service in strategic defense and nuclear waste containment was recognized as recipient of the 2001 Roosevelt Universitys Otto Wirth Award for Lifetime Achievement.
