Don Peterson – Net Perceptions Inc (netp)

DON PETERSON was appointed CEO of Net Perceptions, Inc., in May 2001 and is an entrepreneur with a proven track record for successfully growing technology-oriented businesses. Mr. Peterson has more than 17 years of experience with technology-oriented companies and is an alumnus of several marquee names in information technology ' Arthur Andersen (now Accenture), IBM, and Cap Gemini. These early career experiences provided exceptional training in the arts of sales, account management and consulting. In 1989, Mr. Peterson leveraged these skills by founding Shamrock Computer Resources, where he served as the CEO. He turned an initial angel investment of $200,000 into a profitable IT services firm, that by 1996 had over 500 employees. By the time Mr. Peterson sold Shamrock to Renaissance Worldwide in 1996, Shamrock had been recognized three times as an Inc. 500 winner ' among the 500 fastest growing privately held firms in the US. He remained with Renaissance until 1999, when the entrepreneurial bug hit again. This time Mr. Peterson founded IT Radar, which connected over 4,500 IT services providers with over 4,000 client members worldwide. After he completed the sale of IT Radar to a subsidiary of the Gartner Group, he spent a brief time with Andcor, a venture catalyst for emerging growth companies, before joining Net Perceptions.
