DAVID SCOTT joined 3PARdata in January 2001 as President and CEO,
bringing 17 years of experience in the enterprise storage, software and
server market. He was previously the General Manager of Hewlett-
Packard's XP enterprise storage business in the Network Storage
Solutions Organization that successfully grew from first introduction in
May 1999 to hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue 2000, leading HP
to move from sixth to third place in the external storage market as
reported by IDC. Prior to his last role, Mr. Scott was the Marketing
Manager for HP's overall Enterprise Storage Business Unit and previously
he was responsible for Business Strategy for HP's Enterprise Systems
Group. He started with Hewlett-Packard in its UK field operation in 1983
in systems engineering and sales positions in the Financial Services
markets in London. In 1991 he moved to the HP 9000 Enterprise Server
business headquartered in Cupertino, California, holding various
positions in product marketing management for the HP-UX operating
environment and the 5nines:5minutes mission critical program. Mr. Scott
holds a Bachelor's Degree with Honors in Computer Science and
Mathematics from Bristol University in the UK. Profile
