DR. DAVID O'BRIEN has served as President, Chief Executive Officer and a
Director of the Company since September 1987 and served as Chief
Financial Officer since August 1997 and previously from August 1995 to
December 1995. From 1982 to September 1987, he served as President and
Chief Executive Officer of Precision Monolithics, Inc. ('Precision
Monolithics'), a semiconductor company. From 1979 to 1982, he was Vice
President of Engineering and Senior Vice President of Operations at
Precision Monolithics. Previously, Dr. O'Brien was employed by Fairchild
Semiconductor Corporation from 1973 to 1979, where he served in several
managerial positions in engineering and operations. Dr. O'Brien holds a
B.S. degree in physics and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical
engineering from the University of Swansea, United Kingdom, and a M.B.A.
degree from the University of Santa Clara, California. Profile
