DAVID CROSS is the Chief Executive of Alkane Energy. He qualified as a
Chartered Accountant with Price Waterhouse in 1976 at which point he
moved into industry. He is a broadly experienced commercial and General
Manager who has had a successful career in both the services sector and
the manufacturing industry. From 1984 to 1995 he was Chief Executive of
Elswick Plc, a mini-conglomerate which he transformed into a specialist
printing and packaging group. From 1996 to 1999 he was Chief Executive
of Prism Group Limited and its operating subsidiary, Westward
Communications Group Limited, a digital media, print and fulfilment
