DAMIAN SMITH joined LookSmart, Ltd., in June 1998 and became Interim
Chief Executive Officer in January 2004. Since July 2001, he has been
Chief Executive Officer of LookSmart's Australian operations, and in
December 2002, added responsibility for the Japanese and UK businesses.
Prior to returning to Australia in 2001, he served in a number of
operating and business development roles, including leadership of two of
LookSmart's major acquisitions: Zeal Media and BeSeen. Prior to joining
LookSmart, Mr. Smith worked for Boral Ltd., Australia's leading building
products company, focusing on business rationalization and improvements
to its timber business. He holds a Master's degree in Public Policy from
the John F Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and a
Bachelor of Arts from the University of Sydney. Profile
