CONRAD B. HERRMANN is a Senior Vice President and Portfolio Manager for
Franklin Advisers, Inc., a part of Franklin Templeton Investments, and
Director of Franklin's equity group. He is also the Portfolio Manager of
Franklin California Growth Fund and Franklin Technology Fund. Prior to
joining the firm, he was a Vice President and General Manager of Aquila
Management, a mutual fund group in New York City. Mr. Herrmann earned a
BA from Brown University and an MBA from Harvard University. He is a
Director and Officer of the Security Analysts of San Francisco (SASF)
and a member of the Association for Investment Management and Research
(AIMR). He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and is a Licensed Registered
Securities Representative and a General Securities Principal. Profile

Mr. Herrmann: The original concept with creating this Fund was really to
leverage our
