CHRISTOPHER RODRIGUES is the Group Chief Executive of Bradford & Bingley
Plc. He joined Bradford & Bingley in 1996. Prior to joining Bradford &
Bingley, Mr Rodrigues was Chief Executive of Thomas Cook, which he
joined in 1988 as Chief Operating Officer. He had previously spent nine
years with American Express where he held a number a senior posts,
including Senior Vice President of Business Development for the Consumer
Financial Services Group. He joined American Express from McKinsey. He
is a member of the Council of the National Trust, a Non-Executive
Director of Energis Plc and the Financial Services Authority. Mr
Rodrigues was educated at Jesus College, Cambridge, where he was awarded
a BA in economics and economic history. He subsequently attended Harvard
Business School from where he graduated in 1976 as a Baker Scholar. He
is married with two children. He is a Rowing Coach of Jesus College Boat
Club and past-Chairman of Leander Club. Profile
