Christopher Lofgren – Schneider National Inc

CHRISTOPHER B. LOFGREN is chief operating officer at Schneider National, Inc. In this role, he has overall responsibility for the growth and profitability of Schneider Logistics, a leading provider of supply chain management technology and services, and Schneider National Carriers, North America's leading provider of premium truckload and intermodal transportation solutions. He brings a strong background in logistics, software development, engineering, optimization and project management to this position. Dr. Lofgren joined Schneider Logistics in November 1994 as vice president of engineering and systems. In this position, he led the development of logistics information systems and supply chain re-engineering. In 1996, he was promoted to the position of chief technology officer with responsibility for company-wide information technology and engineering activities. In 1999, Dr. Lofgren was promoted to chief information and logistics officer with the additional responsibility for Schneider Logistics. He was then promoted to chief operating officer in 2000. Dr. Lofgren joined Schneider after four years at Symantec Corporation, one of the largest software companies in the world. Before that, he held positions in research at Motorola, and in management at CAPS Logistics. Dr. Lofgren received his bachelor's and master's degrees in Industrial and Management Engineering from Montana State University, Bozeman, Montana, and his doctorate in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Lofgren has published several articles in leading technical publications; served as a reviewer of technical journals; and participated in numerous professional conferences.
