BRIAN R. SMITH is the Chairman and CEO of Crossroads Systems, Inc. His
experience in high-end storage and communications systems development
was key to the formation of the company. Initially, Crossroads was a
consulting company, but it rapidly evolved into a leader in storage
routing. Before starting Crossroads, Mr. Smith was employed by IBM at
several development locations including Austin, Kingston, and Yorktown
Heights. He successfully developed and delivered FDDI and Fibre Channel
hardware and software solutions to the marketplace. In addition, Mr.
Smith led the development of IBM's Fibre Channel products and the Fibre
Channel Systems Initiative (FCSI) profiles for TCP/IP and SCSI. Mr.
Smith's educational background includes an MSEE from Purdue University,
and a BSEE from the University of Cincinnati. He is a member of Tau Beta
Pi and Eta Kappa Nu. Profile
