BRIAN FITZGERALD is President and CEO of ChipWrights. Mr. Fitzgerald has
over 25 years experience in the semiconductor industry. He is expert in
circuit design techniques and early in his IBM career, was chosen IEEE
Outstanding Engineer of the Year for his work on DRAMs. At IBM he
managed its ASIC organization of over 250 engineers, technicians and
managers in multiple locations. These groups were engaged in VLSI
design, high performance SRAM, and a variety of ASIC developments.
Later, as the Director of Worldwide Field Applications Engineering,
Brian played a key role in developing IBM Microelectronics' external
sales organization. Brian was also a Senior Manager in IBMs Investment
Division responsible for finding and evaluating e-commerce companies for
IBM equity investments. Most recently, Brian served as Vice President of
Engineering at Xionics Document Technologies, an OEM supplier of
hardware and software to the office automation market, where he was
responsible for embedded systems development. Brian is active in
electronics industry organizations and served as 2000 General Chairman
of the IEEE Custom Integrated Circuits Conference, the premier
conference devoted to IC development. He holds Bachelors and Masters of
Science degrees in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University
and was graduated from IBM's Advanced Management School. Profile
