Ben Jamil – Security Intelligence Technologies Inc (sitg)

BEN JAMIL is Chairman and CEO of Security Intelligence Technologies, Inc., the parent company of Homeland Security Strategies, Inc., which markets to and sells authorized government agencies such equipment as advanced bomb jamming technology, voice and data logging and management systems, cellular intercept and electronic surveillance countermeasure equipment. Mr. Jamil's place as an international authority and industry leader in the security world has been earned through years of experience with security professionals in every field and encompassing every electronic specialty; through business associations with advanced product research and design engineers; and as a consultant with open lines of communication to government leaders and representatives in the international law enforcement and military communities. As a creative marketer, he opened new channels to provide end users in the corporate and private sectors with professional investigative and privacy protection equipment previously available only to the government and law enforcement communities. Subsequent to working with Polard Electronics, a subcontractor for the Poseidon Nuclear Submarine Defense System, Mr. Jamil's dynamic career in the security industry began in the early 1950s, when, without an attorney, he successfully challenged the AT&T monopoly on phone instruments, wiring and attachments such as answering machines and automatic telephone dialers. After fostering an entire new industry in phones, related equipment and communication systems, he turned to designing and manufacturing sophisticated high tech products for phone security, voice and data privacy, personal protection and electronic surveillance countermeasures. Examples of citations he received early in his career: 1969 for proprietary test equipment which aided and supported the successful Apollo 11 moon landing; 1980 from the XIII Winter Olympic Committee for his key role as security consultant as well as for providing equipment and training to the New York State Police; 1981 for design and implementation of security systems for Radio Free Europe; 1982 from the US Embassy in Paris for having provided special security services for then President and Mrs. Ronald Reagan. During the 1970s, Mr. Jamil organized and conducted educational seminars and specialized training sessions for such local law enforcement groups as the New York City Police Academy Security Operations, the Police Crime Prevention Section and the Police College and Tactics School, as well as for numerous state-run law enforcement groups both in this country and abroad. He is considered a leading authority, ahead of his time in anticipating security and protection needs not only for governments and related governmental agencies, but also for Fortune 500 companies and their CEOs, VIPs, celebrities and management teams whose security needs and concerns have grown in direct proportion to the proliferation of crime, white collar crimes, industrial and economic espioage, and acts of terrorism. Mr. Jamil, most recently a keynote speaker at a John Jay College sponsored conference, 'Al Qaeda, The New Face of Global Terrorism,' continues to be active in virtually every sphere of security expertise.
