Barry Rubens – Ct Communications Inc (ctci)

BARRY R. RUBENS serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of CT Communications, Inc. As such, Mr. Rubens directs the strategic planning, financial, regulatory, marketing and business development functions for CT Communications. In addition, he has responsibility for several of CT Communications' competitive businesses-wireless, greenfield and long distance. Prior to joining CT Communications in 1992, Mr. Rubens was a Senior Manager with Ernst & Young's Telecommunications Consulting Practice in Washington, DC. During his 10-year career with Ernst & Young, Mr. Rubens provided strategic planning, regulatory and financial analysis for telephone, long distance, cellular and other communications companies. Mr. Rubens is active within the telecommunications industry. He represents over 20 telephone companies in their partnership with Cingular wireless in North and South Carolina. He is a member of the Executive Committee of DDR, a wholesale fiber optic transport provider. DDR is comprised of ValleyNet, US Carrier, PalmettoNet and Access/On. He serves as a member of the Executive Committee and Treasurer of Wireless One of North Carolina, which controls MMDS spectrum rights covering the State of North Carolina. Mr. Rubens currently serves on the Board of AvidXchange. He also serves on the Board of Directors of United Way and the Boy Scouts of America Central North Carolina Council. Mr. Rubens is the President of the Board of Trustees for Cannon School. He earned degrees in English and Business Administration from the University of Washington in Seattle. Profile
