Anthony M. Sanfilippo is President of Trimark Securities, a third-market
trading firm headquartered in Purchase, NY. Trimark makes markets in
over 4,000 NYSE and AMEX listed securities and is ranked #1 in total
listed shares traded in NASDAQ. Mr. Sanfilippo is also an Executive
Vice President of Knight/Trimark Group, Inc., the holding company that
owns both Trimark and Knight Securities, which is number one in AutEx
Advertised Trade Volume NASDAQ/OTC securities. Mr. Sanfilippo strong
interests in off-exchange execution developed in 1980 when he piloted
the 19C-3 market making operation for Jefferies & Co., a pioneer in
third market trading. This 19C-3 trading operation was one of the first
of its kind in making markets in listed stocks on NASDAQ. He later co-
managed Jefferies & Co.'s listed capital commitment activity, where he
made markets in listed stocks that were temporarily suspended. His
trading and management skills were further amplified through positions
at William Blair & Co., Dillon Read, and Bateman Eichler. Then he spent
five years as Executive Vice President at Mesirow Financial managing
their Institutional Equity Division and their Chicago Stock Exchange
Specialist Operation. While running a successful regional specialist
operation, he saw an opportunity in the marketplace with broadening
technological advancements and increasing electronic connectivity. Mr.
Sanfilippo took the initiative to start a new third market firm, which
he called Tradetech Securities. As President and CEO, he built the firm
into one of the largest third market trading firms in just four short
years. In November of 1997 he joined Trimark Securities as President
upon Trimark's acquisition of Tradetech Securities. He has served as
President of the Security Traders Association of Chicago (STAC) and is a
member of the Securities Industry Association (SIA). He was also elected
to membership in the National Organization of Investment Professionals
(NOIP). This exclusive organization of 200 professionals is a dynamic
force within the investment industry and is dedicated to educating and
promoting dialogue on issues directly affecting the National Market
System. Currently, he is Chairman of the District Business Conduct
Committee (DBCC) of the NASDR, and serves on the Transaction Auditing
Groups (TAG) Advisory Board. In addition, he is Treasurer of the
Aplastic Anemia Foundation of America, a non-profit organization
specializing in education and patient support of bone marrow failure
