ANDREW J. MCKELVEY, as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Monster
Worldwide, Inc., is the chief visionary and business strategist behind
the parent company of Monster, the leading global online careers
property. With annual revenues totaling more than $1 billion, Monster
Worldwide also owns the world's largest Yellow Pages and recruitment
advertising agency network and is a provider of direct marketing
services. Mr. McKelvey founded Telephone Marketing Programs (TMP
Worldwide), the precursor to Monster Worldwide, in 1967. With no capital
and no clients initially, Mr. McKelvey saw an opportunity to develop the
niche market of Yellow Pages advertising and soon the company had
captured a 30% share of the national accounts segment of the US Yellow
Pages advertising market. Guided by Mr. McKelvey's entrepreneurial
spirit and strategic vision, TMP Worldwide entered the human capital
industry in 1993 and acquired both the Monster Board and Online Career
Center in 1995. The company spent much of the early and mid-1990s,
expanding its service offerings in the recruitment advertising,
staffing, and executive search industries to create a dynamic 'Intern to
CEO' platform. In early 2003, TMP Worldwide completed the successful
spinoff of its staffing and executive search businesses into a separate
company and re-named the company Monster Worldwide, Inc., to communicate
the company's full embrace of Monster as the driving force behind, and
key to, its future growth and prosperity. Today, Monster is the online
recruitment leader with a database of more than 28 million resumes and
more than 47 million online visitors per month. The site connects the
most progressive companies with the most qualified career-minded
individuals, offering innovative technology and superior services that
empower employers by giving them more control over the recruiting
process. Monster Worldwide's clients include more than 90 of the Fortune
100 and approximately 490 of the Fortune 500 companies. Mr. McKelvey
drives Monster Worldwide's business strategy from the company's
headquarters in New York and commands a global workforce of
approximately 4,600 employees in 26 countries. In addition to his role
as Chairman and CEO, Mr. McKelvey is an active philanthropist who, among
his many charitable efforts, founded the McKelvey Foundation to provide
college scholarships to disadvantaged, yet highly motivated and
entrepreneurial high school students in the rural areas of Pennsylvania,
New York and West Virginia. In addition, he has played a central role in
helping to raise more than $100 million for Families of Freedom, a
charity seeking to fund the college educations of children whose parents
were victims of the September 11 attacks of 2001. Profile
