ANDERS GILTVEDT joined West Coast Bancorp as Executive Vice President
and Chief Financial Officer in April 2000. Since that time, he has
played an integral role in the development and implementation of the
company's successful strategy: expanding the business mix in desired
customer segments, enhancing the distribution platform, and rebuilding
and integrating the financial system infrastructure. Mr. Giltvedt chairs
the Accountability Committee and is active in the company's customer
relationship efforts. Mr. Giltvedt's career began in the Portland area
as a senior forecast analyst for Nike, Inc. He originally joined US
Bancorp in Portland in 1988, and served as Executive Vice President,
retail branch finance and strategy group, of U.S. Bancorp, Minneapolis,
Minnesota, where he was responsible for all financial and strategic
functions for a 1,000-branch network covering 17 states. Mr. Giltvedt's
academic credentials include an MBA in Finance and a Bachelor of Science
degree in Finance and Marketing from the University of Oregon. In
addition to his career accomplishments, Mr. Giltvedt has achieved
numerous athletic awards. He attained second place in the 40 plus US
Masters Squash Championships in 1999, competed in the Norwegian Team
Handball Championships in 1981 and 1982, and represented the Norwegian
National Handball Team between 1978 to 1982. Profile
