AMI AMIR is the Chief Executive Officer and co-Founder of RADVision,
where he provides focused leadership and direction to RADVision
worldwide. Mr. Amir is a technology visionary who also has strong
business acumen and keen market insight. He grew the company from a 4-
person start-up in 1993 to a $17M international company today, employing
over 200 people with offices in Israel, the United States and Hong Kong.
With more than 30 years executive management experience with both
international and domestic hi-technology companies, Mr. Amir provides
RADVision with the vision and strategic definition of products and
company direction. His engineering expertise, sales, marketing and
business development experience, combined with his influential role in
numerous industry consortia and strong relationships with industry
leaders, position him as a key contributor to the overall growth of the
marketplace for real-time video, voice and data over next-generation
networks. In the early 1990's, Mr. Amir foresaw the potential of
leveraging the increasing deployment of computer networks for real time
voice and video communication. Guided by Mr. Amir, RADVision was first
to market with products capable of supporting real time two-way
communication on data networks. Because of RADVision's demonstrated
technical innovation, he was invited by the ITU international standards
body to work on the definition of a new industry standard for real time
multimedia communication over Internet Protocol networks with other
companies including Lucent, Intel, and British Telecom. Prior to co-
founding RADVision, Mr. Amir served as President of RAD Data
Communications Inc. from 1986 through 1992. From 1983 to 1986, Amir
directed research and development activities relating to interactive,
real-time training and simulation systems at Simtech, Advanced Training
and Simulation Systems, in Tel-Aviv, Israel. Prior to 1986, Amir held
key positions at Tadiran Electronic Industries and Elbit Computers. Mr.
Amir holds a Bachelor's of Science degree in Electronics and Computer
Science, and a Master's degree of Science, both from the Technion,
Israel Institute of Technology. He currently resides in Tel-Aviv Israel. Profile
