ALEXANDER LONG – ENVIRONMENTAL SOFTWARE PROVIDERS

ALEXANDER B. LONG is a co-Founder of ESP (Environmental Software Providers) and President. He raised the initial funding for the company through an agreement with the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) to commercialize software developed by and for EPRI. He then guided the company in a successful transition to a leading supplier of environmental software products. These efforts were through collaborative initiatives with industrial partners. His technical guidance has helped to shape the application of the product to different media and industry sectors, his insistence on customer satisfaction has resulted in phenomenal customer satisfaction and annual renewal rates, and his attention to personnel have enabled the company to create a strong foundation for future growth. Previous to founding ESP, he was a co-Founder of Expert-EASE systems, a company that supplied graphic modeling tools used widely in the petrochemical, power, and mathematical simulation fields. Before that, Mr. Long was a Program Manager for EPRI dealing with software applications designed to improve the safety of power generation. He holds a PhD, MS from the University of Illinois, and a BA from Williams College. Profile
