Adya Tripathi, PhD., President, Chairman and CEO, of the Board, he has
more than 18 years of technical and management experience at several
leading-edge companies. He is responsible for overseeing all aspects of
Tripath's operations and for guiding its long-term strategies, with a
unique focus on technology. Prior to launching Tripath, he was Chief
Technical Officer and Vice President of Engineering at Vitel
Communications, where he pioneered the development of sophisticated
compression and modem technologies for video phone and computer
applications. Dr. Tripathi has also held a variety of senior positions
with National Semiconductor, Hewlett-Packard, IMP, AMD and IBM. Dr.
Tripathi holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in
electrical engineering from Benaras Hindu University in India. He
pursued graduate work at the University of Nevada, Reno, and the
University of California, Berkeley, receiving his Ph.D. in electrical
engineering in 1984. He has also taught as a professor at the University
of California, Berkeley Extension. Profile
