A. MAURICE MYERS is Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of
Waste Management, Inc.. Mr. Myers joined Waste Management in 1999 after
leading several major US corporations, including Yellow Corporation,
America West Airlines and Aloha Air Group. Since joining WM, he has
placed the company on a firm financial footing and positioned it for
future growth. During his tenure, the company has implemented a number
of improvements designed to achieve operational excellence. These
include: information systems and technologies upgrades; improved
customer service and sales processes; a realignment of the company's
organizational structure; and more efficient collection vehicle routing.
Mr. Myers has underscored the company's commitment to enhancing and
protecting the environment. He also is championing efforts aimed at
achieving a greater level of diversity and inclusion in the company's
