Jeffrey Madden is a Portfolio Manager at RMB Capital. He joined the firm in June 2017. Earlier, he worked at IronBridge Capital Management, L.P., where he was a portfolio manager, and at Accenture, where he was a retail management consultant. He received a BAA degree in finance from the University of Iowa. He is also on the board at the LIFT Foundation and the Heartland Institute, and is a member of the executive council at the Cara Program.
Christopher C. Faber is a Partner and Portfolio Manager with Curi Capital. He joined the firm in 2017, when the IronBridge team combined with RMB Asset Management. Mr. Faber is the co-portfolio manager for the Small Cap Core and SMID Cap Core equity strategies. Prior to founding IronBridge in 1999, Mr. Faber was a founding member of HOLT Value Associates, L.P., where he worked with senior portfolio managers across the U.S. and Europe. Mr. Faber graduated from Drake University with a bachelor’s degree in Corporate Finance.
Frances E. Tuite is part of the Investment Team of Fairpointe Capital, LLC, serving as Co-Portfolio Manager for the Mid-Cap and ESG Equity strategies, and is responsible for investment research for both strategies. In addition, she manages the 1837 LP long/short equity fund, which she founded in 2000. Prior to joining Fairpointe Capital, Ms. Tuite managed the 1837 Fund at RMB Capital and at Talon Asset Management (under the name Talon Opportunity Partners). Previously, she worked at Sirius Partners and Harris Associates as an analyst and portfolio manager, as a sell-side research analyst at William Blair & Company, and as analyst and Director of Research at Johnson Investment Counsel. Earlier, she was employed at Procter & Gamble in their financial management training program. Ms. Tuite received a B.B.A. from the University of Cincinnati in finance and accounting and an MBA in finance and accountancy from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. She holds the CFA designation, is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Chicago and has passed the Certified Public Accountant examination. She is a member of the Chicago Finance Exchange, an invitation-only organization for senior women leaders in finance, and a member of International Women Associates, which pursues global understanding and universal human rights. She serves on the Steppenwolf’s Directors Circle, and as an Advisor to Recovery on Water, a non-profit focused on rowing for breast cancer survivors. She’s been a competitive rower for over 40 years and rides her bike to work every day in Chicago.
Charles Lemonides, CFA, is Founder, Chief Investment Officer and Portfolio Manager at ValueWorks LLC. He leads investment research and portfolio management and has final authority for all investment decisions. He started his career at regional brokerage Gruntal & Co. in the firm’s research department in 1986 and covered risk arbitrage, the banking industry and special situations. In 1994, he joined Sterling Advisors, an investment advisory unit of Gruntal & Co. and became Chief Investment Officer in 1995. In 1999, he merged this internal investment practice into the independent advisory firm M&R Capital and was named Chief Investment Officer. In October 2001, he established ValueWorks as a fully independent firm. He received a bachelor’s degree in history from Vassar College and also studied economics at New York University.
Matthew Gershuny is the Deputy Chief Investment Officer at Parnassus Investments, LLC and lead Portfolio Manager of the Parnassus Mid Cap Fund. Before joining the firm, Mr. Gershuny was a Vice President of Equity Research at Cowen and Company (formerly SG Cowen Securities Corporation). Prior to that, he held various equity research and asset management positions at UBS Securities. Mr. Gershuny received a bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and an MBA from the University of Michigan.
Benjamin Gardiner is Sr. Research Analyst and a Portfolio Manager of the Grandeur Peak Global Opportunities Fund (GPGOX) and Grandeur Peak Global Explorer Fund (GPGEX) at Grandeur Peak Global Advisors, LLC. He is also a key member of the team covering Central Asia. Mr. Gardiner is part of the Director of Research team. Mr. Gardiner received an MBA with Distinction from London Business School. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Utah with a B.S. in mathematics. He officially joined Grandeur Peak in 2013 and had previously spent a number of years building financial models for his father, Robert Gardiner. Mr. Gardiner and his wife, Angelee, have one daughter. He enjoys skiing, hiking, camping, and playing basketball.
Toby Loftin, Portfolio Manager and Managing Principal, founded BP Capital Fund Advisors, LLC in June 2013. Mr. Loftin joined BP Capital LP in 2010 and served as a member of the investment committee of the private hedge fund. Mr. Loftin is a Portfolio Manager and Managing Principal of BP Capital Fund Advisors, LLC, which serves as the subadviser to the Hennessy BP Energy and Hennessy BP Midstream Funds. Prior to that he managed the firm’s energy infrastructure MLP investments. Earlier, Mr. Loftin was a partner of SteelPath Fund Advisors and SteelPath Capital Management — formerly Alerian. He also served as Director of Institutional Equity Research Sales with Royal Bank of Canada Capital Markets, where he focused on the energy sector and the MLP asset class. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the U.S. Air Force Academy and a Master of Science in finance from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
Andrew Alexander is Director and Portfolio Manager of Brookfield Global Listed Infrastructure Income Fund at Brookfield Investment Management Inc. Andrew Alexander has 14 years of experience and is a vice president on Brookfield’s global infrastructure team. He is responsible for covering energy infrastructure as well as infrastructure securities that focus on the water and transportation sectors in Europe and Australia/New Zealand. Prior to joining Brookfield in 2008, Mr. Alexander was with SNL Financial where he specialized in the energy sector, which encompassed power, natural gas and coal, and he launched a full analysis of master limited partnerships. Mr. Alexander earned a master’s in corporate finance degree from the SDA Bocconi School of Management in Milan, Italy, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Virginia.
Tom Miller, CFA, is Director and Portfolio Manager of Brookfield Global Listed Infrastructure Income Fund at Brookfield Investment Management Inc. Tom Miller has eight years of experience and is a director of Brookfield’s global infrastructure equities team. He is responsible for covering North American infrastructure securities focusing on MLPs and the energy infrastructure sector. Prior to joining the firm in 2013, he worked at FactSet. Mr. Miller holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University.
Brien M. O’Brien is the Founder, Chairman and CEO of Port Capital LLC. Prior to establishing Port Capital, Mr. O’Brien co-founded and served as Chairman and CEO of Advisory Research Inc., which under his leadership became one of the leading value investment firms in the country with over $12 billion AUM. Mr. O’Brien is the Chairman of the board of trustees at University of Chicago Medicine and also serves on the board of the University of Chicago. He is a member of the board of the National Parks Foundation and President of the board of trustees of the Sheriffs Meadow Foundation, an accredited land trust based in Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts. Mr. O’Brien graduated with honors from Boston College with a B.S. in finance and theology.
